THE LOTUS BREW STORY

Lotus Brew began with a dream that was about so much more than coffee. As a wife and mom of four, I wanted to create something of my own—something I was deeply passionate about, but that would also allow me to build a life with more time at home and more moments with my children. I wanted to show them that it's possible to dream big, build something from the ground up, and create a life centered around the people who matter most.

My love for coffee started years ago while working at a local coffee shop in the small town where I grew up. I quickly fell in love with not only coffee itself, but the process behind it—the craft, the creativity, and the way a single cup of coffee can bring people together. Across different places, seasons of life, and communities, coffee has always had a way of creating connection. What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead.

The name Lotus Brew holds an especially personal meaning for me. A lotus flower begins beneath the surface, rooted in mud and murky water, yet continues to rise toward the light before blooming into something beautiful. That journey resonates deeply with my own. I've walked through seasons that could have defined me, but instead I chose to keep growing, building, and becoming. To me, the lotus represents resilience, growth, and the reminder that where you begin does not determine where you bloom.

Community has also been woven into Lotus Brew from the beginning. From helping raise money for Children's Miracle Network to serving at events supporting friends as they build businesses of their own, I believe deeply in showing up for the people around you. Lotus Brew was built from my own dream, but my hope is that it can also be part of the dreams, celebrations, and beautiful moments of others.

OWNER & FOUNDER

The dreamer behind Lotus Brew and the one most likely obsessing over a new latte flavor at midnight. Dawna's love for coffee began years ago while working in a local coffee shop and grew into a passion for the craft, creativity, and connection behind every cup. As a wife and mom of four, she created Lotus Brew with a dream of building something meaningful for her family while bringing people together through really good coffee and beautiful experiences.

Uriel

CO-OWNER & THE ONE WHO MAKES IT ALL HAPPEN

Dawna's husband, biggest supporter, and the person who somehow gets recruited into every new idea she has. From building, hauling, setting up, problem-solving, and jumping behind the cart when needed, Uriel is an essential part of Lotus Brew. His steady support and willingness to say “okay, let's do it” have helped turn a dream into something real.

MINI BARISTA & LOTUS BREW’S BONUS DREAMER

What started as helping here and there quickly became a dream of her own. Marisol brings her energy, heart, and growing love for coffee to Lotus Brew—and somewhere along the way, this little business became part of her future too. She's proof that dreams have a funny way of growing when you build them alongside the people you love.
